Fate often tells a story. As we anchored at the Bitter End in Virgin Gorda, we bumped into professional kiteboarder Kellen Hall. Who better to test our prototype? Check out the video of Kellen and our system in action. As you'll see, the setup adds a level of stability and control you'll never get with toe straps. During a fall, the rider is released, reducing the risk of injury considerably, but still allowing you to push the edge. After his ride, Kellen had one comment for us: "I'm gonna need a pair of these!"
In our last visit to the Boston workshop of Tool, we discussed the positives and negatives of prototype I. After our initial tests, the positives far outweighed the negatives. The next step on the journey takes us back to the drawing board for prototype II, with a more lightweight, easy-to-use model being our target. Stay Tuned!
